Alien Isolation – How to Skip Intro Videos
Go to game’s installation directory, navigate \DATA\UI\MOVIES. Here delete/rename the AMD_IDENT.USM, FOX_IDENT.USM, and CA_IDENT.USM files to skip introduction videos in game.

These are much known issues that the game crashes randomly or giving black screen. Make sure, your graphic card drivers is up to date, also try to turn-off the V-Sync and resolution as well. Verify the integrity of game from Steam may fix your problem. If you are NVidia user and using WHQL 344.11 drivers then you should un-install it and download the latest version.

Alien Isolation allow you to play on default 75 FOV (Field of View), if you want to increase/decrease the FOV then go to Alien Isolation\DATA, here find the ENGINE_SETTINGS.xml file, open it to Notepad and search for these lines:

Alien Isolation – Map My EIDs to Keyboard Shortcuts
Just as you’re able to use 1 to 5 numbered-keys to quickly access your weapons, IEDs and Items can also be mapped to the remaining 5 number keys.
- With the Radial Menu open, highlighting an Item or IED using the cursor
- While holding the Radial Menu open, and the EID highlighted, press any number from 6 to 0
- Let go of the Radial Menu, and now press the number that you’ve recently assigned to an IED to quickly access them.

If you are experiencing the black screen when you start the game, just ALT+TAB and the game should be running in windowed mode. Now change the game resolution to fix the startup black screen. To switch the full screen or windowed mode manually without start the game, follow the guide:
Go to Steam\Steamapps\Common\Alien Isolation\DATA, find the Engine_Settings.xml, open this file in Notepad and find the following lines:
