Lords of the Fallen PC Crashes, Low FPS, Stuttering, Language Issues and Fixes

Lords of the Fallen is now available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version contains many issues like crashes, has stopped working, no audio, startup crashes, language switch issue and many other major problems. Here are many of them addresses with fixes, full details inside.

Lords of the Fallen PC Requirements

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (only 64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 or AMD Phenom II X4 940
  • RAM: 6 GB
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 460 or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 25 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card with Latest Drivers

Recommended:

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 X8
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Graphics: NVidia GeForce GTX 560ti or better

Make sure you’re not trying to play surround sound on a stereo setup and also install or update DirectX.

Lords of the Fallen – Low FPS/Performance

As the AMD and NVidia didn’t have a stable drivers for this game and causing many crashes, bugs and low fps. To fix these issues, the developers are releasing a patch soon but here are some temporary solutions to enhance FPS and game performance. Very first, disable the PhysX, V-Sync, to do this go to Documents/Lords of the Fallen/settings.ini, find the lines and change the values from true to false.

vsync = false

apex_gpu_support_enabled = false

Lords of the Fallen – Game Crashes on High-End GPUs

Most of high-end GPUs owners reporting of random game crashes especially on NVidia GTX 770, 780, GTX 970; the main cause of crashes is driver. First of all, disable the NVidia PhysX if problem persists then not use the latest NVidia drivers, find the older version and try, the game will run without any crash and wait for upcoming patch.

Lords of the Fallen – Game Crashes on Startup or has stopped working

There are many causes of these problems, your out-of-date graphic card drivers, install the all redistributables including DirectX and VC++ may fix the issue. Also try to restart your machine one, hope it works.

Lords of the Fallen – How to switch English language?

If your game is running in native language and you want to play in English you must download this file and extract them into game installation directory and run the change-language.bat; remember it is chance that your antivirus program will delete this file, so disable the antivirus before do this.

Lords of the Fallen – Game Crashes when Using Clawfinger

It is much known issue during boss fight when you use the Clawfinger heavy attack, the game crashes. First of all, verify the game cache files from Steam if problem persist then try to disable audio from Control Panel and play game without sound. It is just a trick not permanent issue but hope it will fix the upcoming patch.

Lords of the Fallen – Low FPS/Stuttering Issues on AMD GPU

It is highly recommended that install the latest graphic card drivers, exit AMD Gaming Evolved application before start the game. Try to disable PhysX, if still have problem then go to Documents/Lords of the Fallen/settings.ini, find these lines and change their values true to false:

vsync = false

apex_gpu_support_enabled = false

Lords of the Fallen – Skip Intro Videos

Fixed this by placing intro movie files in a different folder.

Fixed this by changing the settings.ini commands and making it read only.

Lords of the Fallen – Disable Mouse Acceleration

Just turn off V-sync off in settings.ini
